During this one-day practical workshop, practitioners will deepen their expertise in the therapeutic applications of cupping and Gua Sha techniques, moving beyond basic skills to address specific musculoskeletal conditions and internal health imbalances. This hands-on training bridges traditional East Asian Medicine with contemporary anatomical understanding to provide a holistic treatment approach.
A foundational knowledge of East Asian Medicine and the relation of Jing Jin (sinew channels) with muscular anatomy chains will be presented to enhance an integrated understanding of the body. A brief overview including the fundamental philosophical underpinnings and understanding of the body systems from East Asian medicine will be presented to expand perspectives on how the external muscular and internal health is intertwined.
Participants will explore the intersection of traditional East Asian medical theory and modern anatomical science. This unique integrated approach allows practitioners to address health concerns from both local (structural) and systemic (functional) perspectives, creating more effective and personalised treatment strategies for patients.
* For attendance of this workshop experience in the application of these techniques is required (eg previous foundational workshop or clinical experience). We are offering an introductory workshop over one day in March 2026 or two Thursday evenings in August 2026. Please head to our Introduction to Cupping and Gua Sha event for more information and booking
