In this hands-on cooking workshop hosted by Nikki Blanch, you will be introduced to the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) framework and practice of eating with the seasons and gain an understanding of the thermal nature of foods.
Learn how to easily identify whether foods are cooling or heating, and how perceiving foods in this way opens up a whole new world of cooking medicinally to suit your constitution and the seasons.
We will cover some theory and then dive into cooking a winter menu* together, which will include a couple of medicinal teas, a winter soup, and a nourishing main.
* Menu will be vegetarian, and gluten-free, and can easily cater to vegan preferences.
* Workshop participants will receive a take-home recipe booklet.
* We recommend to bring small plastic containers for any leftovers.
Only 10 places available. First in best dressed.
